Job Summary/Basic Functions

Data Consultants are students specifically trained to support students, faculty, and staff on research and analysis projects. The team is interdisciplinary and follows best practices in data science. Through Data Initiatives, students gain valuable experience, develop their technical skills, and improve their chances of accessing high quality jobs in an increasingly data-driven world.

Consultants provide support and feedback to the university community, helping researchers analyze and understand the best way to approach data projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at EKU

 

Job Duties:

• 25% - Attend and participate in coordination meetings (Thursdays 9:30-10:45 am) - (Essential)
• 25% - Attend, lead, and facilitate consultations with university partners - (Essential)
• 25% - Attend professional development seminars (e.g., R user Group) - (Essential)
• 25% - Support analysis, planning, and visualization for data projects - (Essential)
