Hydro Aluminium Metal a leading supplier of extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods and high-purity aluminum with a global production network of around 5,000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Qatar, and recycling facilities throughout Europe and in the U.S., two-thirds of our primary aluminum production is based on renewable energy.

Summary/Objective
The Regional Controller is responsible to support the Recycling Business Unit’s ambitious growth agenda developing the finance roadmap and support the overall strategy implementation for the unit in cooperation with the Head of Recycling North America.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Consolidate and report financial results and outlook of the North American Recycling Unit
- Drive the annual business plan process, and other reporting, planning and performance management processes in alignment with the central finance team.
- Drive performance of the US recycling portfolio in close cooperation with plant finance managers, and other relevant members of the Recycling Management team
- Maintain an overview of Capital Exposure Proposals (CEPs) and write Controller memos for investment proposals from the North American Recycling business unit.
- Drive alignment, simplification, digitization and automation of financial processes
- Support development and execution of new growth projects, including possible M&A and integration projects.
- Ensure that systems and procedures are implemented and effective to ensure compliance with U.S. laws, regulations and other requirements.
Competencies Required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of a second language in addition to English would be advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with ERP system and analytical and business intelligence tools are beneficial.

Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or business administration is required; a master’s degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Detailed accounting knowledge is required for this position.
- A minimum of seven years of relevant experience, preferably gained at financial institution, consulting, corporate finance, or a similar field
