POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is in the Orlando Regional Operations Center. The incumbent will work independently assisting management by providing analysis and research on a variety of administrative matters. Work involves assignments which are broad as to objective and content and require independently making decisions and obtaining solutions by operating within well-established policies, laws, rules, and guidelines.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Maintaining current administrative files to include all correspondence, investigative case files, and other administrative information;
- Planning, initiating, and completing administrative duties;
- Extracting, collating, and merging stored information in database as required. Reviewing records and reports which require action and recommending solutions or courses of action;
- Organizing and preparing electronic investigative case books (E-Books) utilizing Adobe Acrobat, or other related computer software programs;
- Scanning documentary evidence. Revising and updating lengthy materials;
- Performing data base inquiries for investigators/supervisors;
- Assisting in conducting daily administrative activities and/or directing special projects or activities;
- Caring for the custody and control of all property assigned; and
- Reading and acknowledging FDLE Policies & Procedures within 30 workdays of employment or 30 workdays of issuance of revised policies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of administrative principles and practices;
- Knowledge of office procedures and practices;
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection;
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication;
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data relating to administrative functions such as accounting, personnel, purchasing or report writing;
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments;
- Ability to communicate effectively; and
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
