Job title: Regional Dispatcher
Pay: $27 to $31 an hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm
Location: Vancouver, Washington
The Regional Dispatcher helps support the regions' dispatch teams in promoting company Best Practices, coordinates globally where required to maximize company resources, and consistently assists all yards in delivering legendary service. This individual will, as directed, collaborate with dispatchers and other division heads to promote teamwork across yards and focus on solutions. This position works with sales, other dispatchers, yard personnel, and customers to make this happen. Examples include prescheduling and overseeing deliveries for each yard they are responsible for.
The Regional Dispatcher's efforts to coordinate between sales, the yard dispatch team, and the General Manager helps support our mission of Legendary Service through Teamwork. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and works closely with the dispatch team and the location Supervisor.
Qualifications
- OSHA Certified Forklift License
- Ability to speak, write, and read English required
- 2 years of previous truss manufacturing experience
- 1 year of dispatching experience
- Must be able to operate a personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
- Must be able to type 30+ WPM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Class C driver's license or reliable alternative transportation required
- Knowledge of dispatching and fleet management principles, practices, and protocols
- Knowledge of dimension lumber and panel products and other building materials
- Knowledge of home and commercial construction principles, practices, and protocols
- Ability to read and interpret maps
Duties and Responsibilities
- Efficiently schedule delivery orders and credit returns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Pulls and shares OTIF reports
- Schedules loads to maximize OTIF
- Remain current on changing Federal and State laws in regards to interstate commerce and the operation of commercial motor vehicles
- Efficiently schedules delivery orders and returns in DDMS
- Understands weight, height, and length limits for DOT compliance
- Ensures all paperwork, licensing, permits insurance certificate and truck books are orderly and kept up to date
- Schedules pilot cars
- Perform other related duties as assigned
This position works in an office with a computer in a manufacturing environment. The usual working days are Monday through Friday, and the working hours typically fall between a 5:00 am to 5pm window with weekends and extra hours as needed.
Physical Requirements
