We're excited to announce an opportunities for a Long-Term Substitute supporting Pre-K and Kindergarten classes in Washington, DC for the remainder of this school year.
OUR PARTNER SCHOOL: Our partner school in Washington, DC is a diverse and dynamic Pre-K -5 charter school committed to high-quality education and an inclusive learning environment. The school emphasizes holistic student development – academically, socially, and emotionally.
Position: Pre-K & Kindergarten Faculty
Location: Washington, DC
Rate of Pay: 200/day
School Hours: 8 - 4:30
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assume the responsibilities of the regular classroom teacher during their absence.
- Deliver lesson plans and provide instruction to students.
- Implement classroom management strategies.
- Evaluate student progress and provide ongoing feedback.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (required)
- At least 2 years of previous teaching experience (required)
- Valid teaching certification (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies
- Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and classroom environments
- Passion for working with students and promoting their success
- Flexibility and reliability
- Bilingual (preferred)
