Director, Pre-Sales Partnerships Engineer
As a Director, Pre-Sales Partnerships Engineer at Exiger, you will play an instrumental role in establishing and enhancing strategic alliances with critical technology partners across both Government and Commercial spaces while supporting the sales team in closing sales via technical proof-of-concepts.
In the Partnerships capacity, you will shape the overall strategic vision and GTM plan relating to partnerships, including GTM plan creation, account segmentation, and partnership product development roadmaps. You will ensure that sales motions and technical support are sufficiently specialized in areas to support the Product organization as well as to steer the integration pathways for partnerships and strategic alliances.
In the traditional Pre-Sales Engineering capacity, you will move clients through a sales cycle to close: from identifying clients, to contacting and educating them on Exiger’s leading solutions through ongoing communications, web conferences, and face-to-face meetings. You will so by sending engaging follow-up emails, hosting software discovery/demonstration meetings, drafting customized proposals, generating ROI analyses, and sharing other engaging content. You will also provide input to marketing campaigns and assist with creating content that succeeds in attracting prospects. You will work independently and with others to progress and close targeted accounts. Closing sales and growing our business is the key indicator of success.
What You’ll Do:
- Support account-based opportunities in the Pre-Sales capacity while specializing in the ecosystems that support those opportunities to ensure seamless transitions into later stage conversations with customers
- Facilitate sale closures by conducting technical proof-of-concepts
- Focus on critical and primary partnerships, forming and strengthening relationships with technology partners and strategic alliances within commercial, public, and FSI spaces
- Work with the Sales leaders to create customized proposals and ultimately close enterprise level software/service solution contracts
- Develop Long-cycle sales growth
- Report on sales progress over the last day, week, month, and year.
- Work with our operations team to help them increase our footprint at existing customers
- Assist with the development of marketing campaigns and thought leadership pieces to support the sales and market development process
- Work with internal and external resources to develop and place press releases, articles, OpEd pieces, and other content to help educate the market and build the Exiger brand
- Work with internal product development staff to help them identify and prioritize functionality that will deliver increased value to the customer based on customer feedback
- Participate in the development of annual sales strategies and budgeting
- Develop creative sales approaches that differentiate Exiger in the marketplace
- Monitor companies, competitors, and industries to ensure Exiger and its solution offerings are positioned to succeed in the marketplace
What You Need:
- 6+ years in a Sales and Solution Architect/Engineer role selling SaaS solutions
- 5+ Years Experience with Federal Government sales as well as commercial sales
- Experience with one or many of these: supply chain solutions (hardware, software, supplier, entity or corporate), SCRM or C-SCRM
- Technical Skills: familiarity and/or understanding of cloud platforms, software and web programing languages, IOT ecosystems, Snowflake, NIST frameworks and network interchange protocols. Certifications are a plus
- Experience with risk and cyber security frameworks
- Demonstrable interpersonal skills, ability to write and speak clearly to accurately brief analytical findings
- Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and work under pressure
- Ability to develop an understanding of domains relevant to Exiger’s capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Experience in sales and technology field
- Negotiation and social problem-solving skills
- Must be a US citizen, with the ability to get a U.S. Security Clearance (not required)
