Minimum Qualifications:

Two years administrative support experience. A Bachelor's degree can substitute for four of the six years experience.

Responsible for following the provisions and requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services rules and FWC’s invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.

 

Work at FWC is cross-functional meaning duties may cross division/office lines. The Commission expects employees to function across FWC’s organizational structure by providing their skills and expertise wherever needed through work on teams or as directed.

 

Description of Position:

The Wildlife Impact Management Section (WIM) is seeking an energetic and motivated candidate to serve as an Administrative Assistant II. The incumbent will provide primary administrative and clerical support to the Wildlife Impact Management Section. The Administrative Assistant works across multiple programs within the Section to provide administrative and clerical support; purchasing support; as well as meeting planning and coordination support.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Coordinating purchases for the Section and maintaining a purchasing card;
  • Obtaining quotes, composing purchase orders and submitting invoices for payment utilizing MyFloridaMarketPlace;
  • Assisting with routing contracts, invoices, and supporting documents for execution;
  • Organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files in accordance with retention requirements;
  • Processing responsive records for public record requests;
  • Managing the Section’s SharePoint site;
