Medical Lab Technician MLT - Hematopathology

The MLT contributes to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients by the accurate performance and reporting of laboratory testing procedures on blood and body fluids. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required. Highly Preferred: experience in general and/or specialized Hematology and Coagulation testing, including (but not limited to) Peripheral blood slide review/differentials, Bone marrow differentials, Body Fluid differentials and/or Specialty Coagulation testing (Factors, Mixing studies, HIT and/or Platelet Aggregation).

Associate degree required. Recent graduate from approved MLT school is minimum experience required. 

Additional Skills and Qualifications: 

Two to four years experience as medical laboratory technician preferred. Evidence of computer skills. Demonstrated organizational skills and problem solving capabilities.
