Meta Analytics Operations protects people and businesses and preserves voice and economic opportunity for the people and businesses that use Meta’s platforms. As a horizontal analytics team, the Financial Efficiency Data Analytics team enables Global Operations to make data-informed decisions by serving as analytics thought-partners to solve operational business problems. We employ a diverse toolkit of rigorous analytical approaches to guide teams using data and insight.
In this role, you won’t simply present data, but tell data-driven stories. You will influence operations and product decisions using clear insights and recommendations, develop data-driven investment strategies to optimize operational outcomes, and collaborate with a diverse set of cross-functional partners to identify, quantify, and solve GO's biggest challenges. This work utilizes one of the largest data sets in the world and drives high-stakes outcomes that impact billions of people on and off the platform. - Apply quantitative skills and incorporate qualitative insights to inform and influence strategy for Global Operations
- Partner with Operations, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to identify and execute against opportunities that increase operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop scalable analytics solutions that provide the essential insights around budget spent, ROI measurement, and efficiency needed to support data-driven decision making
- Drive forecasting, scenario planning, and predictive analytics to optimize the community and business impact of our operational expenditures
- Translate business objectives into actionable analyses, clearly communicating technical concepts and operational implications to varied audiences
- Identify metric trends and insights for business reviews to provide leadership visibility into operational expenditure and performance against desired outcomes
- B.A./B.S. degree with a quantitative focus in Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Statistics, or a similar technical field
- 5+ years of work experience in an analytics role involving strategy, problem solving, and/or technical systems
- Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment, while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Experience communicating effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience using analytics to break down ambiguous, complex problems using data and influence solutions
- Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R)
- Experience working in an online operations or trust & safety organization
- Experience developing data pipelines via SQL and Python-based ETL frameworks
- Familiarity with internet policy and regulatory environments
- Advanced degree with a quantitative focus (Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, Applied Economics or similar technical field) or equivalent practical experience
