Job Description

Join our team! We have immediate openings for skilled Flexo Press Operators to join our growing team. We offer competitive pay and a $2/hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Available Shifts: 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM and 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 10:45 PM - 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities: As a Flexo Press Operator, you will:

  • Successfully operate multiple presses, executing precise setups, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining our rigorous production standards. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit. 
  • Efficiently perform two-color set-ups on assigned presses, including cylinder preparation, plate mounting, ink fountain and roller adjustments, loading supply rolls, splicing webs, setting impressions, and processing set-ups with a focus on minimizing waste.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of cylinders, plates, and other tooling/parts before and during production runs, identifying and addressing defects to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Carefully review and interpret work orders, job specifications, and customer requirements to ensure accurate press set-up and production.
  • Operate assigned printing press, ensuring adherence to production schedules and minimizing downtime. Monitor print quality throughout the run, making necessary adjustments to color and ink density to meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of printing press operation experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience operating flexographic machinery.
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency using product overlay gauges and reading shop scales.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. by hand or with lift aids, and push, pull, and turn 150 lbs. with lift aids.
  • Ability to maneuver up to 1584 lbs. with a hand truck.
  • Ability to continuously stand, stoop, and bend.
  • Good vision, including color vision.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate basic PC skills for production reporting.
