About the role
DATA WAREHOUSING SPECIALIST HighPoint’s professionals focus on helping government agencies and companies implement their most critically strategic initiatives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Data Warehousing Specialist will bring senior-level knowledge and experience in building data integrations such as geospatial and alphanumeric data warehouses and/or data lakes, consolidating and geospatially enabling data, and publishing those data to meet user needs for mapping, reporting, and in general geospatial analysis or self-service business intelligence (BI) activities. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Task planning, project management, and coordination skills will be important to work effectively with other data and project team members and leadership.
- The Data Warehousing Specialist will bring experience in a variety of data warehousing tools from both the traditional data warehouse and data lake perspective but also from the techniques used in the Modern Data Stack and/or other modern approaches to managing spatial data warehouses.
- Experience in data analysis, presentation, or self- service BI approaches will also be important to develop proof of concept and prototype reports and maps that can help end users visualize and interrogate data that is contained within the data warehouse, thus demonstrating the value of the environment.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, spatial/tabular integration, AI/ML, and dashboard prototyping.
- Experience with Azure Data Lake, Dataverse, Power BI, ArcGIS Dashboards.
- Experience with stakeholder requirement gathering, metadata standards, and performance metrics.
