ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer oriented  Forensics Intern to join our DFEND program in Herndon, VA. 

The DFEND (Dominion Forensic Engineering and Development) program is a paid, seven-week summer internship program for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or other STEM field. Interns are given meaningful, challenging assignments both at an individual and group level. 

 This program is for students entering their senior year of high school or freshman year of college.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working four days/week experiencing forensic technologies in a real-world lab environment with dedicated mentors on-site in Herndon, VA.

• Conducting forensics research and development in hardware engineering, programming, reverse engineering, computer forensics and mobile forensics. 

• Additional responsibilities as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Current full-time student intending to pursue or actively pursuing BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with a projected expected graduation date of 2029-2030

• Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, C#, etc)

• Familiarity with a mix of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux distros)

• Interest in Digital Forensics

• Desire to learn quickly and ability to demonstrate creativity while collaborating with fellow students and mentors

• Ability to work on-site in Herndon, VA

Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance
