Helper - Entry Level Opportunity to Learn Low Voltage Cabling!

Overview

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. (H&M's) Chantilly office specializes in low-voltage cabling to support enterprise, data center, government and medical facilities.  We design and install multiple technologies and work throught the Baltimore and Washington, DC metro areas.   H&M is seeking an energetic, career minded indivudual to join our team working out of our Chantlly, VA office.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for receiving, organizing and managing materials, equipment, stock and field supplies.   Physically loading and unloading trucks, moving and repositioning materials using a forklift or other equipment.
• Responsible for warehouse maintenance and cleanliness.
• Assists with managing tool and equipment tracking.
• Responsible for ordering/receiving/maintaining an adequate supplies of safety items (PPE)
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a warehouse environment including receiving, ordering and tracking materials, a plus.
• Minimum educational requirement is a High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Willing to learn the trade from the ground up.
• Ability to follow direction and work independently or in a team environment.
• Must be able to operate/drive all warehouse equipemnt.  Previous expereince operating a forklift, a plus.
• Must be able to spend the day doing various physical activies to include walking up/down stairs or ladders, and standing for extended periods of time.  Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to dirve a 30-foot box truck and obtain and maintain a DOT physical card (company paid)
• Basic computer skills, and strong communication skills (reading/writing/speaking) to effectively communicate with others.
• Familiarity with MicroSoft Office products, a plus.
• Ability to make deliveries in the Baltimore/Washington DC metro area.

Starting Hourly Rate:                 $17.55 + Depending Upon Experience
