The Senior Materials Handler will play a critical role in supporting logistics operations while actively working to manage materials handling and warehouse processes. This position will act as a mentor for other team members and assist the Logistics Coordinator in developing, improving, and streamlining materials flow. In addition, this role serves as a preparatory step towards a leadership position in logistics coordination, requiring an understanding of supply chain operations, inventory management, and team leadership.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may be required to work in tight, confided spaces. The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

What You'll Do:

- Champion safety initiatives across the warehouse and job sites, ensuring adherence to PPE and safety protocols.
- Efficiently manage the loading, unloading, and transportation of materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Support the development of inventory metrics and reporting for continuous improvement.
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of materials, verifying that orders are correct and meet specifications.
- Ensure timely and accurate shipment of materials, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2 Optics.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in materials handling, warehouse operation, or logistics
- Certifications: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 required
- Skills: Additional Training in supply chain or logistics is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams or projects
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic logistics software
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Forklift certification preferred
