We’re looking for a Production Assistant that supports the Birmingham commerce team’s product testing program as we expand our portfolio of unbiased product testing and reviews, focusing on original content and visual assets. This role supports all day-to-day Lab activities, from pre- through post-production, working with editors, testers, and photography teams.
Assignment Details:

Assignment Responsibilities:
- Assist Producers and key partners with executing food tests and video productions across a wide range of product categories, from knives to air fryers. Responsibilities include prepping food, unboxing products, assembling tester kits, general clean-up, and reboxing.
- Collaborate with Producers to pre-plan upcoming tests and video shoots. Work closely with the procurement and inventory teams to locate, track, set up, and label products for testing.
- Serve as an on-site resource to support multiple, simultaneous tests and video shoots across various teams.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning lab studio environment.
- Act as a product tester during shoots, demonstrating product functionality on set. This includes appearing in photos and videos featured on brand websites.
Skills/Experience:
- 2 years working in a studio environment, assisting on photoshoots or video production
- Kitchen and culinary experience preferred
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various teams and stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Action-Oriented: Readily take action on new challenges, identify and seize new opportunities. Display a can-do attitude and step up to handle tough issues.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to proactively address and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
