LJB Engineering is a national, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm with multiple business lines including Transportation, Water Resources, Geospatial and Site Design, Buildings Structure Design and Safety/Fall Protection Design/Installation. Our diverse expertise, client base, and geographies have enabled LJB to serve clients in all 50 U.S. states and several countries.

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Senior Civil Designer position in our Cleveland office. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience and possess the professional and interpersonal skills to make a positive impact on our firm and the clients we serve. The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude, have a passion for and take pride in their work, be a creative thinker, and have a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently. 

Pay: $82,00 – 108,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards. 

SENIOR CIVIL DESIGNER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• · Create construction documents for municipal and private engineering projects including sanitary sewers, storm sewers, site plans, and minor roadway projects in conformance with client requirements and company standards.
• · Create plan, profile, and cross section views utilizing Pipe Networks and Corridor Modeling in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• · Develop 3D digital terrain models using survey information.
• · Implement different drafting and engineering standards.
• · Other duties as assigned.

SENIOR CIVIL DESIGNER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:

Qualifications:

• · 10+ years of related experience
• · Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D required
• · Ability to identify project issues and facilitate resolution.
• · Able to adapt to quickly changing priorities and conditions.
• · Ability to develop junior staff.
• · Strong written and oral communication skills.
