About the role

Lead Regional Philanthropy Strategy and Growth

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the Austin region that aligns with Texas Children's philanthropic vision, organizational priorities, and long-term growth objectives. 
  • Partner with executive leadership, physicians, and clinical leaders to integrate philanthropy into regional clinical expansion, patient care, research, and community engagement initiatives. 
  • Identify emerging philanthropic opportunities, establish fundraising priorities, and implement strategies that expand donor engagement and philanthropic investment throughout the Austin market. 
  • Collaborate with system-wide Philanthropy, Marketing & Communications, and operational leaders to ensure a coordinated approach to fundraising and donor stewardship. 

Build and Strengthen Strategic Partnerships

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with physicians, executive leaders, donors, volunteers, community organizations, and civic leaders to advance fundraising priorities and strengthen Texas Children's philanthropic presence in Central Texas. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to physician and clinical leadership, fostering a culture of philanthropy and equipping stakeholders to engage effectively in donor cultivation and solicitation. 
  • Lead volunteer engagement efforts and partner with regional volunteer leadership to expand community awareness and philanthropic support. 

Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams

  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing fundraising team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous professional growth. 
  • Establish clear performance expectations, monitor fundraising outcomes, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize team performance and fundraising effectiveness. 
  • Promote operational excellence through efficient fundraising practices, resource stewardship, and continuous process improvement. 

Drive Major Gift Fundraising Performance

  • Personally manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors while leading strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward transformational philanthropic investments. 
  • Partner closely with physicians, executive leaders, and volunteers to develop compelling donor engagement strategies and secure significant philanthropic support. 
  • Achieve annual fundraising goals through strategic pipeline development, portfolio management, and disciplined prospect strategy. 
  • Ensure accurate documentation of donor engagement, gift activity, and prospect management within CRM systems to support effective fundraising operations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • 7 + years of fundraising experience 
  • 5 + years of leadership experience managing fundraisers

 

Preferred: 

  • Master's Degree
