Sr. Quality Inspector - Incoming Inspection

The Sr. Quality Inspector is primarily responsible for assuring the quality of incoming products using visual criteria, as well as Inspection, Measurement, and Test Equipment (IMTE). Visual inspection will be performed on products in order to ensure product conformance to customer specifications. IMTE use may include calipers, pin gauges, micrometers, Keyence vision system, and other inspection equipment. This position assures product conformance for dimensional, electrical, and visual workmanship standards in accordance with drawings and specifications. This position will be responsible for managing and monitoring material flow through the incoming inspection area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Uses IMTE equipment as defined above to verify product conformance to mechanical and electrical acceptance requirements.

· Uses visual means to verify product conformance to released specification revision.

· Communicates effectively, determines, and assesses measurement methods in relation to design intent.

· Manages material flow based on urgent need or a first in first out basis

· Monitors timeliness of inspections and may summarize and report out metrics

· Is self-motivated, ability to work independently, and function as an effective team member.

· Thorough understanding of engineering prints, dimensioning and tolerancing principles.

· Performs data entry and/or report writing.

· Demonstrates safe work habits, maintains clean and safe work area.

· Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); five-year related experience and/or training desired

· Experience with quality management systems (QMS)

· Prior Quality Inspection experience required.

· High level of familiarity with IMTE as described previously

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to read technical drawings and follow inspection plans.

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions, inspection criteria, and engineering drawings that are in English.

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers and managers.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

· Willingness to be flexible with day to day tasks as the organization requires

· Must be organized

Preferred Qualifications:

· Prior experience and familiarity with therapy delivery products.

· Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) – willing to train.

· Experience writing programs on Keyence or equivalent syste
