Sr. Director, Product Management

Title: Sr Director of Product Management, HR Systems Design

In HR Systems, we improve associate productivity and experience to drive Gartner’s growth through scalable, technology-enabled HR processes; and design for future growth while supporting today’s critical priorities.

This role requires a leader with business acumen and a strong customer orientation; both a deep understanding of product development and the ability to manage a team of Product Managers; and strong communication skills to effectively align stakeholders to drive the broader HR Systems roadmap.

What you will do:

• Build a resilient team of HR Systems product managers with the capabilities to deliver flexible, scalable solutions to solve critical business problems.

• Partner with the business, HR leaders, and Functional Centers of Excellence (COE) to align HR Systems roadmaps to Gartner’s business priorities; translate business needs into functional requirements.  

• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to translate functional requirements into product prototypes to ensure viable products that meet current and evolving business needs.

• Prioritize user experience in HR Systems design and functionality to deliver intuitive and efficient solutions that meet our associates in their flow of work.

• Align stakeholders around the vision for HR products and help to resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups through discussion facilitation and issue escalation when appropriate.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to proactively identify opportunities to accelerate business and associate outcomes.

• Gather user feedback to continuously improve the HR Systems roadmap to meet evolving needs.

• Partner with key stakeholders on roll-out and change management plans to monitor and drive user adoption.

What you will need:

• 10+ years of experience in systems design, product management / product strategy

• Knowledge of HR business processes and systems

• System implementation/deployment and change management experience is preferred

• Proficiency in product management and agile methodologies

• A business first mindset and approach

• A growth mindset demonstrates relentless curiosity with a strong desire to find answers and create solutions

• Analytical, design thinking, and can turn analysis into actionable recommendations with measurable business impact

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

• A bias for action, including balancing tradeoffs; the ability to pivot and prioritize while bringing others along

• Strong adaptability, views change as an opportunity for continuous growth
