The Medical Education Strategist of freeCME, powered by Relias, will be tasked with identifying, developing, and closing business related to the continuing medical education (CME) of prescribers by Medical Education Companies (MEC). By working with existing clients, bringing in new clients through aggressive prospecting, and attending industry events, the Medical Education Strategist will drive to exceed their KPI targets, annual assigned quota, and develop/enhance long lasting client relationships.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Working with and grow existing client base
- Identifying and developing new opportunities within assigned territory
- Generatin demand by reviewing organizations, outbound prospecting, and qualifying leads (gathering information on potential clients and existing customers)
- Working with our Project Coordinator on marketing our activities, and bring creative ideas forward to ensure contractual obligations to those activities are met and exceeded
- Collaborating with Implementation Team to ensure a smooth handoff of activities after sale
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager of freeCME, and VP of Communities
YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:
- 5+ years’ experience selling at a national/enterprise level with a documented track record of success
- Strong knowledge of the CME distribution/audience generation space or equivalent sales experience in advertising that focused on audience generation
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Confidence to prospect and develop new leads
- Ambition to perform in a fast-paced, sales-orientated environment
- Customer centric focus - monitor and manage 100+ activities throughout a 12-month time frame
- Active listening skills assess prospect/client needs and opportunities
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com and other related tools (preferred)
- Travel up to 30% - Occasional travel to industry events, tradeshows, and our corporate office
Education Required (Minimum required)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience/Education Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years sales experience in the CME distribution space with a documented track record of success preferred
Salary Information:
We are targeting an OTE of ~$180,000 - $200,000 annually. Relias considered many factors when making an offer including; established salary range, internal budgets, business need, education and years of applicable work experience possessed by the applicant.
