Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a part-time MFM Sonographer to work with our Maternal Fetal Medicine Department.
MFM Sonographers are responsible for ensuring and providing quality services in all US tests & procedures performed at the main Perinatal center, 3North and PNC-MU locations of Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Receiving, clarifying and/or confirming orders
- Accurate and timely documentation of procedures/tests
- Competent understanding and operation of all US equipment
- Understanding and performance of Disinfection and quality control procedures.
- Mentoring students and fostering an atmosphere of learning
- Participating in collection and reporting of data used in performance and process improvement activities
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Junior College/Technical School required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Registered sonographer (ARDMS) required.
- OB registry required.
- NT/NB certification preferred.
- Maternal fetal medicine experience preferred.
The kind of position-related experience includes:
- Good working knowledge of anatomy, pathology, medical terminology and application software. Ability to skillfully operate US scanner and related patient support equipment is required. Adherence to established procedure protocols.
- Working knowledge of all US examinations, exam preps and other information pertinent to placing orders and verifying appropriateness.
