We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

Responsible for analyzing and making recommendations for changes to internal processes and/or standards/specifications to create more efficient and cost‑effective operations for Dominion Energy business areas. This role includes support of Net Metering programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, tariff provisions, and interconnection standards. Assist on multiple concurrent projects to identify and document major business processes associated with the business unit, including Net Metering application review, interconnection workflows, and customer onboarding processes. Conduct benchmarking and best practice analysis of business processes, both within and outside the utility industry to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and customer experience in program administration. Evaluate existing processes related to eligibility, and interconnection requirements, and recommend improvements that enhance operational effectiveness without compromising reliability, availability, safety, or regulatory compliance. Develop, implement and manage regulatory programs related to business cases and apply process tools to support changes, including impacts to customer experience, processing timelines, and regulatory adherence, and monitor the progress associated with implementation of approved changes. Perform peer review (peer checking) of technical reports, including Facilities Studies, Interconnection Reviews, and supporting documentation, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering standards, tariff requirements, and program guidelines. Identify discrepancies or omissions and provide clear, actionable feedback to support quality and consistency across deliverables. Support cross‑functional coordination with engineering, rates, regulatory, and customer service teams to ensure accurate application of tariff requirements and consistent handling of technical inquiries, system design reviews, and customer inquiries. Contribute to the development of training materials, internal guidance documents, and standardized processes to support team alignment, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Apply process modeling tools, process improvement methodologies, benchmarking, project management, and change management practices to initiatives that enhance program delivery, reporting timelines, and communication workflow.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

 

2–3+ years of relevant experience in a directly related field. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize competing demands across multiple project teams simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and decision‑making, along with knowing when to engage others. Proficient in the application of business process improvement methodologies, benchmarking, and change management practices. Brings a strong customer service orientation, coupled with creative thinking skills to develop innovative solutions and improve processes.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
