Pay for this position is determined by experience.

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for executing various support duties within the warehouse and production environment.  The Warehouse Assistant will work directly with existing warehouse personnel and reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Inventory Responsibilities:

  • Inks, Coatings, Cartons, Bags, Inventory
  • Maintain physical organization of all staging areas.
  • Compare and verify all incoming quantities with corresponding purchase orders upon receipt.
  • Label all incoming products with Pro Label identification numbers and place them into inventory with disciplined first in/first out practices.
  • Daily monitoring of proper extraction of all items from inventory.
  • Monitor inventory minimums and notify purchasing when thresholds are reached or imminent.
  • Execute accurate month end counting and reporting.

Incoming Onserts:

  • Execute receipt, documentation, and segregated staging of all incoming onserts.
  • Compare and verify items and respective quantities with corresponding purchase orders upon receipt.

Incoming/Outgoing packages (Fed Ex, UPS, Etc.):

  • Daily monitoring of all packages, which includes distribution, or notification of receipt. (MRA’s, Critical components, etc.)

Pallet inventory:

  • Maintain organized, first in/first out staging of all pallet inventory.
  • Monitor pallet inventory and notify purchasing of the need for replenishment.
  • Monitor and replenish all “in process” demand for pallets throughout the facility

Die Inventory:

  • Monitor and maintain organized die inventory throughout the facility, daily.

Recycling:

  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of broke boxes, bailing components, and other consumables needed for recycling effort.
  • Deliver finished bails to upper warehouse and onto trailer.
  • Orchestrate pick up of trailer when full.

Compactor:

  • Monitor the capacity of the compactor daily and notify appropriate parties when compactor is approaching “full status”.

Assist other personnel as directed by Warehouse Manager:

  • Help unwrap and label newly received stock for Material Handlers as needed.
  • Remove unwanted clutter in production areas as needed.
  • Cross train to backup for Material Handler & Pallet Wrapper.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of company operations and procedures.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to read and follow directions.
  • Able to work independently with little to no direction.
  • Must be accurate and precise.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Promotes and models safety procedures.
  • Must be prompt and reliable and able to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to work with others in accomplishing tasks or goals in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new and varied job tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others.
