The opportunity

We are seeking highly motivated, experienced Head of Product to join our EY Nexus team and lead our product efforts for Advanced Manufacturing. This is an opportunity to join an established organization while playing a key role in defining the strategic vision, product roadmap, and product evolution across EY’s global Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility business.

The Manufacturing Head of Product will be part of the EY Nexus global product team. This is an exciting opportunity to solve a wide range of complex challenges for incumbent and insurgent organizations and be at the forefront of transformation in the manufacturing industry.

 

Your key responsibilities

· Sets the long-term vision and product-line-level strategy & roadmap; continuously evolve with regular input from EY Nexus for Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility Leader and EY Nexus Chief Product/Platform Officers.

· Conduct market research and meet with internal stakeholders to identify trends.

· Work with set of stakeholders and sector leads to agree to set of strategic businesses objectives.

· Work with EY Nexus Product Managers to define and track OKRs for all products within product line, provide input on product backlog, roadmap, prioritize features based on stakeholder input and user research, testing and synthesis.

· Drives accountability of the Product Managers to deliver on Program Increment goals and commitments and provides input on overall product backlog/roadmap.

· Facilitate demos and reviews with stakeholders to receive input on products within product line.

· Reviews new product submissions and helps to shape and size to understand alignment to overall strategy.

· Act as a subject matter expert during the pursuit lifecycle and provides inputs to EY Nexus for Advanced Manufacturing Pre-sales teams.

· Solicits inputs from the pre-sales team and engagement delivery teams to understand client feedback / input to improve product.

· Supports Product Manager go-to-market material creation to accurately articulate the product and market fit.

· Works with EY’s branding, marketing, and communications team to publish marketing content related to products within product lines.

· Provide direction to product team within product line and prioritize team health by resolving people issues.

· Oversees multiple product management processes, establishes priorities, and coordinates with teams to create schedules throughout the product life cycle.

· Participates in the development and updating of annual budget plans to ensure appropriate allocation of resources; regularly tracks actuals against planned budget.

· Manages, mentors, and motivates junior product teammates.

· Optimizes team performance, balances product team assignments, and enhances processes.

· Provides executive-level reporting on product line progress and performance.

· Provides inputs to EY Nexus Revenue Officer to shape commercials for all products within product line.

 

Skills and attributes for success

· Demonstrated experience leading product teams within the Advanced Manufacturing industry.

· Recent experience applying your skills around the challenges of automotive electrification that include the design, assembly, or market deployment of electric vehicles and related connected infrastructure.

· Demonstrated understanding of IoT technologies, big data, machine learning, and modern cloud platforms.

· Understanding of manufacturing market trends and opportunities.

· Understanding of the product development lifecycle.

 

To qualify for the role you must have

· BS/BA required

· 7-10 years of product management experience

· Strong relationship management abilities to work effectively with clients, vendors, account teams and product teams.
