Job Summary:Under general supervision, the Grants Project Specialist ensures compliance of federal and state statutes, laws, rules and regulations for grants management of Title IV-E sub-recipients and other identified grant sub-recipients. Responsible for managing grants in the computer software system. Adheres to the General Accounting Office’s (GAO) grants management standards. Works with relevant divisions within the Department for the submission of programmatic and financial reports. Maintains and prepares financial or project documents and collecting critical information needed to account for funding purposes.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:- Coordinate the direction of functions and activities of the Department grant program necessary for the maintenance of grants that includes working with Budget, Accounting, Program and Leadership to ensure compliance of grant requirement for federal, state and local government agencies and other granting agencies. Update grant information in ECivis/Euna (Grant Management Software System).
- Monitor grant sub recipients and their compliance with the award terms and program requirements by assessing risk and corrective action activities. Advises grant recipients on requirements and compliance with state and federal laws and rules. Complete site reviews and maintaining documentation of monitoring activities. Provides grant training and assistance to sub-grantees.
- Review and monitor external communication prior to submission for accuracy and timeliness which includes, but is not limited to: reports, invoices, and requests for reimbursement. Review and approve budget modification requests. Assist grants team to ensure grant funds are maximized/used at 100%. Support program management staff to maximize grant funds.
- Develop and maintain relationships with each assigned grant’s stakeholders Internal and external). Coordinates and facilitates stakeholder meetings.
- Other duties as assigned as related to the position.
