Parts Associate

Full time

The parts associate will work within MTE Parts Department assisting with ordering and managing inventory along with providing a high level of external and internal customer satisfaction.  This position will need to maximize part sales, parts delivery, inventory control, and control expenses.  The position also attracts, retains, and effectively engages department personnel.

In this role you will:

• Provide/source parts personnel with limited or hard to find parts as requested.
• Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory control system.
• Create purchase orders to buy necessary parts for stock, customers, or work orders.
• Take inventory of stock and replenish, or purge, when needed according to parts usage reports.
• Assist in keeping the department clean and orderly.
• Maintain positive relationships with outside vendors, customers, and employees.
• Delegate daily tasks efficiently and appropriately to parts personnel.

Compensation:

• $14-$15 per hour starting wage.
• Healthcare insurance (medical, dental, vision) after 30 days.
• Short- and long-term disability.
• Paid time off after 90 days.  Paid vacation after 1 year.

Requirements

What you will need:

• 1+ years of applicable experience.
• Organization skills.
• Understanding of business management software and ability to use Windows based programs.
• Acceptable MVR.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb ladders and regularly reach merchandise.
• Ability to drive for extended periods of time.
• Understanding of fork truck operations.
