The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking a highly motivated administrative coordinator to support the Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology. The individual selected will be based at the IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL). The Pathology team serves 10 hospitals within the IU Health Hospital network, and Eskenazi Health. Anatomic pathology (AP) is currently comprised of 55 pathologists, with a planned expansion adding additional pathologists.
In tandem with supporting the Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology, this person will be responsible for completing and managing the AP schedule. They will serve as a liaison with the scheduling vendor and dedicate time optimizing the platform to best suit the department’s scheduling needs.
Provides standard administrative and technical support to senior leader(s). Manages schedules/calendars, coordinates meetings and events, prepares travel arrangements, processes invoices and expense reports, and handles inquiries, as appropriate, across teams they support. Handles/screens emails including confidential emails and records with appropriate discretion and respect. Assists in drafting of various internal and external correspondence and other communications. Manages work with limited guidance and direction. Anticipates and proactively addresses administrative and technical issues and challenges as they arise. Assures accuracy and availability of office records, files, resource data, various reports, basic budget oversight, etc. Exercises sound independent judgement, anticipates potential issues and challenges, and recognizes the specific needs of their leader(s).

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required.
• Requires 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with matrix organization and complex work environment preferred.
• Requires intermediate proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Requires intermediate experience in receiving, analyzing, and interpreting complex data and information.
