Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking a candidate for an Office Associate position in the Field Services office at Pinckneyville Correctional Center. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask and respond quickly to requests while supporting the needs of the Field Services office. The ideal candidate will prepare and maintain current releases lists, process monthly discharge lists, keyboard complex charts, statistical reports and documents, as well as receive and direct incoming calls. Job Responsibilities
- Prepares and maintains current release lists of individuals in custody granted parole or mandatory supervised release (MSR) and their effective release dates.
- Processes monthly discharge lists and weekly release lists and verifies they are mailed to appropriate Field Services Office, Record Office Supervisor, Prisoner Review Board (PRB), and data input operators.
- Keyboards complex charts, statistical reports, documents, forms, memoranda, investigation documents and letters including legal or terminology where an understanding of specialized terms is required to understand clarity and accuracy.
- Provides backup clerical functions to Clinical Services, Record Office and/or other areas.
- Records warrants issued and withdrawn on parolees.
- Receives and directs incoming calls.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
- Requires ability to type accurately at 45 words per minute.

- Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
- Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of the position held, is prohibited.
