About the role

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers.  The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

As an operations manager you will:

  • Oversee external pharmacology operations, including following key aspects:

    • Coordinate and manage contract research organization (CRO)-based external studies, such as standard pharmacology PKPD and efficacy studies in CDX, PDX or GEMM models

    • Build and maintain key vendor relationships.

    • Accountable for interaction and collaboration with other key functions including but not limited to DMPK, Compound management, Legal and Finance.

    • Offer Operational  support to ensure smooth study execution, such as submitting legal review of contracts, generate purchase agreement and track spending.

  • Proactively identify and support the implementation of strategies to enhance efficiencies from study execution through to data analysis and archival.

  • Have expert knowledge of pharmacology, with prior hands-on in vivo pharmacology skills.

  • Supports other operational needs by the group such as sample management, database building.

  • Contribute to the writing and reviewing of workflow guidelines and protocols.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • BS/MS degree in relevant scientific discipline and 7+ years of experience in operational support or project coordination and management with a background in pharmacology  in an industry environment.

  • Rigorous, quantitative, attention to detail, keen to maximize efficiency.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent record keeping skills, and calm under pressure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with project and departmental teams.

  • Innovative, proactive and collaborative team-player with high energy for our small company environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and work efficiently in a fluid environment.

  • Experience with small molecule drug discovery.

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in cancer pharmacology, with prior hands-on experience in in vivo pharmacology techniques and study execution.

  • Experience in supporting pharmacology, histology and biomarker studies.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000 to $172,000 for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
