Nurse Manager - Surgical Unit

Essential Job Duties:

1. Acquires and monitors resources required to implement the unit patient care delivery model to achieve high levels of patient satisfaction and outcomes.
2. Assists with development, monitoring and achievement of budget and unit objectives in alignment with the hospital strategic plan.
3. Facilitates resolution or management of customer issues/concerns/comments.
4. Participates as a member of the Nursing Leadership team on assigned committees, teams and meetings.
5. Contributes to a high performance work environment by seeking educational resources that enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills.
6. Maintains productivity goals established.
7. Provides assurance that the technical proficiency and educational background of the staff is maintained for the work performed.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

1. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

 

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required MSN certification in specialty preferred.
• Licensure: Registered Nurse license from the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
• Experience: Five years of nursing experience; specialty certification preferred.
