Service Profile

The Homelessness Melbourne Metro region is a large Homelessness provider in the inner city of Melbourne and provides a comprehensive range of residential & community services across six sites in St Kilda, Footscray, North Melbourne, West Melbourne and Kensington.

Community programs include the Crisis Contact Centre, Community Outreach Services for single adults, support for older people in public housing, rough sleeper & street sleeping initiatives, community participation and AOD support.

Residential services operate from Foley House in Footscray, the Open Door in North Melbourne and Flagstaff in West Melbourne.

Homelessness Melbourne Metro is supported by co-located services including the TSA Chaplaincy program, Bolton Clarke primary health service and NDIS support coordination.

Your Role
 

Flagstaff Residential Services provides support to 64 single men experiencing homelessness with a history of trauma, disadvantage, mental health and chronic health issues in West Melbourne.

The aim of the Homelessness Residential Services is to maximise each client’s independence through person-centred and capacity building approaches to service delivery. The program’s focus is to assist vulnerable and or at-risk residents to maintain good health, improve well-being and develop capability on a pathway towards reaching their personal potential.
 

The Flagstaff Residential Service Coordinator is part of a trans-disciplinary team that works closely with:

• Residential Community Support Services across two sites
• Case Management Services
• Health Services including Bolton Clarke
• Community Engagement Team

We are committed to working with the most disadvantaged, marginalised and complex members of our community to support them in recovering from their experience of trauma and homelessness.

• Ability to coach, supervise and manage change
• Resilience, flexibility and adaptability

• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Advanced communication, written & organisational skills
• Ability to ensure service delivery outcomes meet the required target
• Strong AOD practitioner experience
• Relevant degree or above qualifications
• Ability to manage crisis situations
• Initiative to solve service delivery challenges
