Contract - Newsletter Copywriter - Resiliency News

Resiliency News is a new daily newsletter covering resiliency - the intersection between cybersecurity, business continuity, crisis management, disaster recovery, and crisis communications. We will cover the events and forces shaping how organizations manage uncertainty - with a bit of snark and passion.

We're looking for an energetic and experienced contract copywriter to take on crafting the newsletter on a day to day basis - 3 to 5 days a week. You'll research the 5-6 biggest stories in the space, write about them briefly in the newsletter, add in a dash of snark and passion, and ship it off in the morning. You'll help amplify the newsletter through social media, particularly on Twitter and LinkedIn.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about resiliency and enjoys the opportunity to help create something from scratch. You thrive in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment and possess impeccable editorial judgment and strong writing skills. You have an eye for an interesting story and bring some wit, charm, and snark to your writing.

You're a natural collaborator who is comfortable working without hour-by-hour direction, collaborating asynchronously via tools like Slack and Notion, and are able to deliver to a defined editorial schedule.

We have an ambitious roadmap for expansion. Our copywriter will be instrumental to this plan.

There is a strong possibility of conversion to W2 FTE in a few months for the right candidate.

Bryghtpath is based in Shoreview, Minnesota. We strongly support a distributed work model using collaborative technologies to keep the team and our clients moving forward. Most of our team works remotely.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have authorization in place to work in the United States
• Experience in copywriting and/or journalism
• Demonstrates a high level of individual motivation and autonomy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
