The Office of Information Technology provides a full range of enterprise technologies to support the citizens of Maine. This is an exciting position for a qualified individual who has demonstrated experience and has a successful track record in providing support and administration of Microsoft 365 services and Windows Server Operating Systems.
What you will do in this position:
You will manage and administer Domain Controllers, Enterprise Certificate Services, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Cloud Services and Connectivity to Active Directory, as an active contributor of the team. You will work on a team handling request and participate in professional communications as a team player who demonstrates excellent collaboration skills. You will also have the opportunity to participate in other areas within our group.
The position will provide support for the Office of Information Technology and all customers we support. The position performs a full range of system administration functions to control systems and attain maximum utilization and efficiency within Enterprise Directory Services team. This position maintains group policy objects, domain controllers, updating infrastructure, administering, and supporting on premise/cloud identity environments. The position is a key player in the support and maintenance of all users within the States systems as far as access control.
The Team within the Office of Information Technology offers professional and technical hosting and enterprise services to agencies. The Team resides within the Computing Infrastructure & Services Group, which supports a wide range of applications utilizing Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Directory Services, Enterprise Backup and Storage, SQL Server, IIS, SharePoint, and other COTS products. Work is performed under supervision. This position is in Augusta. The CIS Group requires 24x7 server support. This requires the position to be on-call in a rotation format.

- Subject matter expert within the team
- Provide tier-3 support in an enterprise environment for a variety of technologies including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, VMware, and Azure.
- M365 Administration (assign licenses, manage users’ properties, create users, update password expiration policies, manage service requests and monitor service health)
- Performs a full range of system administration functions to control systems and attain maximum utilization and efficiency within Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Windows Server Operating Systems
