Position Summary
As a Senior Technical Artist at Arrow, you will play a key role in ensuring projects achieve visual excellence and top performance. You’ll work closely with our designers and developers to bridge the gap between creative and technical aspects of our work.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Serving as the bridge between the Game Artists and Game Engineering teams
- Optimizing inefficient workflows and processes for Art/Animators and Engineering teams by creating automation tools for software like Photoshop, After Effects, Blender, Unity etc.
- Exploring and implementing new tools and techniques to continuously push the visual bar of our products using scripting and rapid prototypes.
- Standardizing and improving development processes for the producing assets, materials, shaders etc.
- Creating and maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation of processes, tools, and workflows
- Maintaining high standards of game quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
Experience and Education
- Experience in a production environment working directly with development teams.
- Experience with programming/scripting languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript or MEL
- Hands-on experience with Git/Source Control
- Experience with either Autodesk Maya, 3d Max and or Blender 3d pipeline
- Ability to debug and solve issues dealing with game content both in the pipeline and at runtime.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to take and give constructive feedback.
- Experience writing shaders in Unity with HLSL or ShaderGraph a plus.
- Casino Industry experience is a plus.
