<p><b>Job Description Summary</b></p>Location: Barcelona, Spain #LI-Hybrid<br/><br/>Novartis Spain is an internationally renowned pharmaceutical company, specializing in the research, development and commercialization of innovative medicines. As part of our growing activities, we are looking for a Global Senior Manager Digital Finance on a permanent contract for our headquarters in Barcelona. <br/><br/>This role drives the digital transformation of the Business Planning &amp; Analysis (BPA, “business finance” or FP&amp;A) function into a data and AI/ML-driven advanced analytics and value-creation powerhouse. The Global Senior Manager Digital Finance will shape our future finance/BPA organization and the way we support our business using AI, ML &amp; digital. <br/><br/>This includes project management, process and organizational design and reengineering, and identifying and managing interdependencies with other digital initiatives throughout the company (e.g. market access &amp; pricing, commercial functions, production/supply chain, the corporate digital office, etc.) <br/><br/>The role owns the execution of assigned projects driving change across the organization, including transformational activities, working independently and with extensive autonomy. Without being a technology expert, the GSMDF is partnering with data scientists, software and data engineers and visualization experts to build digital business solutions.<p><br/> </p><p><b>Job Description</b></p><p><b>Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:</b></p><ul><li><p>Co-develops vision and supports prioritization of new AI-/decision-making tools in close alignment with the BPA/Finance functions of different business units</p></li><li><p>Owns selected AI/ML products and heads their design, development and implementation by orchestrating the right resources across data science and visualization experts. Ensures successful roll-out, adoption and ongoing operations.</p></li><li><p>Connects newly designed solutions and processes with operational links and leverages her/his operations acumen to pragmatically implement in the Novartis environment</p></li><li><p>Identifies areas of inefficiencies in the application of AI/ML/digital and implements improvements towards a highly efficient, “industrialized” approach (“technology at scale”)</p></li><li><p>Liaises with other digital/AI initiatives (e.g. commercial, supply chain, pricing and market access, treasury, investor relations,…), identifies potential overlaps/ synergies, and co-creates holistic digitalization roadmap</p></li><li><p>Co-shapes future organization of BPA/ Finance function to realize systemic evolution</p></li><li><p>Works closely with broader Digital Finance and Data &amp; IT team to define data requirements for next generation AI tools to further improve decision-making and efficiencies</p></li><li><p>Identifies proactively industry benchmarks that trigger/sparkle change initiatives.
