Summary
The Quality Specialist inspects the quality of the work at each work center to ensure each option that is installed on a Skeeter truck meets the customer’s specifications. This in-process inspection happens at each work center and is the last step of a production order before it moves on to the next step, so the Quality Specialist must sign off on the work and end the production line in the company ERP system. If the work being done does not pass, the Quality Specialist works with the Production Supervisor to get it corrected. At the end of the assembly process, the Quality Specialist inspects the truck as a completed, functional truck and generates a rework order to be completed if warranted. Each truck goes through an offline inspection process by the Quality team and then is approved to come offline to be released to the Blue Floor for final delivery. The Quality Specialist and the Blue Floor team communicate regularly about what gigs were found to reduce or eliminate them in the future.
