The Telephony Specialist PositionAs a Telephony Specialist, you will help plan, design, implement and support all Telephony-related set-up, training and reporting for all teams across the organization. You will be liaison to multiple company departments and vendors under your manager’s direction and guidance. Telephony Specialist ResponsibilitiesDesigns, administers, and analyzes IP telephony systems corporate dial plans and traffic routes for voice network structure, in order to optimize the organization's effectiveness and to provide quality telecommunication service.Administers and monitors IP telephony systems for performance.Designs, documents procedure for business continuity and/or recovery alternatives in the event of failure; works with vendor representatives to resolve known problems; and integrates and troubleshoots integration of multiple platforms.Reviews requests from various departments determining the best-suited infrastructure. Schedules changes and setup of telephone services.Analyzes and provides Call Detail Records (CDR) call logs depending on department requirements.Provides technical assistance to telephone systems personnel and personnel of various departments regarding telecommunications components.Supervises, trains staff, and oversees the IP Telephony area in the absence of the manager of the IP Telephony system.Performs other duties as assigned.· Proactively learns new technology related to Sunnova products.· Perform any other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements· Strong written and verbal communication skills.· Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.· Strong problem-solving skills.· Ability to work as a team member and interact with other departments. · Ability to work under pressure with strict time deadlines. · PC skills: Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, & Outlook required.· Flexible schedule, willingness to work weekends and/or evening shifts.· 2+ years of experience with designing, administering, and analyzing IP telephony systems, corporate dial plans and traffic routes for voice network structure.· 2+ years of experience with administering and monitoring IP telephony systems for performance· 2+ years of experience with analyzing and providing Call Detail Records (CDR) call logs depending on department requirements Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree in computer science or information systems or related field from an institution accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.TalkDesk knowledge/experience preferred.· Previous call center experience managing IP Telephone systems preferred.· Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
