We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join Snap’s Media Delivery Platform team!

What you’ll do:

• Own and evolve Snap’s most critical and large scale backend services that manages, stores and delivers all media in Snap.  

• Work across teams to understand stakeholder teams’ pain points, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver the solutions needed to enable product innovations

• Advocate for and apply best practices when it comes to availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management

• Balance near, medium and long-term objectives to achieve business goals today while laying the foundations for extensibility and scale tomorrow.

• Work closely with stakeholders teams to optimize media delivery cost and media performance

• Build and grow a team of exceptional software engineers and technical leaders and be a strong technical mentor

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Rich experience with distributed systems, proven track record of operating highly-available systems at significant scale

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lead and execute large, complex technical initiatives

• Knowledge with cloud Storage and CDN systems

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience

• 11+ years of software development experience

• 2+ years of experience managing a back
