We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Asset Compliance to join our dynamic compliance team supporting a growing renewable energy company. This is a senior-level role responsible for leading, managing, and continuously improving the implementation of NERC CIP compliance activities across the organization, with a focus on assets under CIP standards. While this position is targeted at the Senior level, we are open to considering candidates at a mid-level with strong foundational NERC CIP experience who demonstrate high growth potential and a commitment to advancing within the compliance field. In such cases, title and responsibilities will be adjusted accordingly.
Role Responsibilities:
- Leading or supporting the strategic development of the NERC CIP compliance program
- Acting as a SME on CIP standards or assisting senior staff in interpreting requirements
- Driving or supporting internal audits, evidence collection, and control performance testing
- Facilitating or participating in stakeholder meetings to ensure compliance alignment across teams
- Mentoring or learning from peers in the execution of compliance-related duties
- Identifying and recommending process improvements, whether as an owner or a contributor
- Supporting or leading remediation and root cause analysis efforts following compliance findings
- Monitoring changes in regulatory standards and contributing to internal guidance updates
- Performing day-to-day compliance activities as assigned, with increasing autonomy over time
Job Requirements and Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years work experience
- Minimum of 8 years of NERC CIP Compliance or equivalent
- Solid understanding of NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards and their application in utility or renewable energy environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and document management systems
- Participating in audit readiness preparation to enumerate exacting policy, procedure, narrative, evidence formatting and submittal packages
- Develop an understanding Potential Non-Compliance Investigation, Self- Report and Mitigation
- The role is expected to leverage project management/tracking skills, contact management in addition to learning NERC CIP regulatory framework
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
- Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
- Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
- Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
- This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations
- Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time<
