Job Summary

This position is responsible for conducting analysis within an SAP operating system to identify root causes for transaction management or billing related errors and to document and provide corrective actions to allow for timely and accurate billing of customers accounts. This individual will be accountable for identifying opportunities for processing improvement to prevent recurring problems.
As outlined below, this is a scope and responsibility expansion beyond Sr. Exception representative.

Key Accountabilities

•Proactively build knowledge of advanced analytical techniques to ascertain intra-day exception management performance vs. key business metrics for both Transaction Management and Billing•Resolve critical SAP batch process failures through running of approved customized scripts•Write complex SQVI or excel scripts when needed. •Assist  with special projects, incident resolution or production work backlogs (as necessary to meet critical production challenges) •Build understanding and appropriate application of an expanded toolbox of advanced transaction codes to perform tasks and retrieve information from SAP; Review functional specs to ensure that any new SAP functionality added will not cause any downstream issues and design is solid. •Assist with training other Exception Specialists on various topics and best practices.•Demonstrate solid understanding of  Revenue Operations that impact TM and billing, market transactions, workflows and replication, SLC life cycle and change management procedures.

 

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

•High School diploma or equivalent required•3-5 years experience in business environment•Energy industry knowledge preferred•Excellent oral, written and electronic communication •Proficiency in MS office with advanced Excel skills•Proficiency with database structures, Access and SharePoint•Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and problem solving•Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills

Key Metrics

•Diagnose and resolve TM, billing and invoicing escalations.•Assist Exception Specialists to analyze, determine root cause, and help develop solutions for Transaction Management and billing errors in general, including BPEM and Un-invoiced conditions; analyze replication issues, perform billing adjustments, rebills, locks and blocks.•Conduct UAT and relay recommendations to management; analyze and resolve complex issues; interpret customer information to set up complex accounts in SAP.
