Description

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Groomer/Bather to join our team and help us maintain our high standard of care for the pets we serve.

Location: 1411 Coley Rd, Tupelo, MS 38801
Schedule: 4-5 days a week, mornings
Wage: Commission Based + Tips 

Key Responsibilities

Bathing, Brushing, and Drying Pets:

• Bathe, brush, and dry dogs and cats of various sizes and breeds according to their individual grooming needs.
• Ensure pets are comfortable and properly prepared for grooming.

Grooming Area Maintenance:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including washing towels, cleaning tubs, and sanitizing equipment regularly.
• Ensure all grooming tools and equipment are in good working condition and sanitized between uses.

Pet Handling:

• Handle pets with care, ensuring their safety and comfort during the grooming process.
• Maintain a calm and positive attitude when working with pets, especially those who may be nervous or anxious.

Client Communication:

• Communicate with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences, including styles and specific needs.
• Provide updates on pets' progress during grooming sessions and ensure pet owners are satisfied with the results.

Team Collaboration:

• Assist other groomers as needed during grooming sessions, helping with bathing, drying, or preparing pets for the next steps in their grooming service.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude with both pets and clients, fostering a welcoming and friendly environment.

Safety and Sanitation:

• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines for both pets and equipment, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise to be Successful

Experience:

• Previous experience as a groomer or bather is preferred but not required.
• A passion for animals and a desire to work in a pet care environment is essential.

Skills & Attributes:

• Ability to handle pets of various sizes and breeds with care and patience.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow grooming instructions carefully.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members in a positive and professional manner.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Physical ability to lift and move animals of various sizes and weights.
