About the role

This senior leader will drive our go-to-market strategy with introducing our unique and highly successful carrier service called GlobalPost to new partner relationships, focused on hero use cases that either remove friction or create incremental value for our shared customers. They will develop and manage a portfolio of strategic partners, including current partners like PayPal and Intuit. 

GlobalPost offers a range of domestic and international shipping solutions that simplifies parcel shipping while saving you money. By combining our world-class customer service, easy-to-use technology and seamless integrations with the world’s top shipping platforms, we help e-commerce and warehouse sellers succeed domestically and around the world.

About the team

The Partnerships team drives revenue growth and accelerates product innovation via strategic partnerships and ecosystem development. We uphold a strong say:do ratio and invest in sustainable relationships that stand the test of time.

What will you be doing?

1. Strategy Development - Devise and execute a cohesive GlobalPost partner strategy that drives customer acquisition and revenue growth. 
2. New Business Development - Identify “big rock” opportunities, source partners to bring those opportunities to life and negotiate first-in-kind agreements.
3. Strategic Partner Management - Drive strategic alignment with our top partners, devise joint business plans, conduct quarterly business reviews and invest in continuous improvement and optimization.
4. Ecosystem Development - Develop an engagement model for the broader ecosystem of unmanaged technology partners.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, finance and legal to execute the best possible partnerships.
6. Team Leadership - Recruit and manage a high-performing team, define its KPIs, operating model and cultural norms.
7. Thought Leadership - Bring an informed point of view to internal debates, including topics unrelated to partnerships, serve as a trusted advisor to our top partners and bring or establish an industry reputation as a thought leader.
8. C-level Engagement - Navigate the executive suite of our top partners with aplomb. 
9. Operational Rigor - Adopt a data-driven approach to the business, focused on leading indicators, and take intelligent risks based on the data.

What are we looking for?

• MBA or JD preferred
• 15+ years of business development experience
• Demonstrated experience leading large, complex partnerships in the eCommerce and logistics industry
