Job Summary 

This position will be assisting in setting up and organizing new laboratory, initially.  After successful set up of the new laboratory, the candidate will perform chemical and physical analysis of in-coming samples according to established test procedures to determine the identity, assay testing, stability testing, and other characteristics.  Additionally, Senior Analytical Chemist I will perform analytical method development, method validation, method transfer and complex analytical project.   

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Perform routine laboratory testing on raw materials, finished goods and stability samples 
  • Accurately documents all necessary and relevant information in a clear and concise manner per cGMP regulation 
  • Receives and follows instructions on tasks with accuracy and great attention to detail 
  • Plan and execute method development and validation/transfer activities  
  • Conduct laboratory investigations for out-of-specifications (OOS) laboratory results 
  • Operates and maintains analytical instrumentations such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV, KF titrators etc., and minor troubleshooting of equipment 
  • Verifies results, including but not limited to calculations in notebook/logbook and results in reports to check for accuracy and integrity of the data 
  • Author SOPs, protocols, analytical methods, and any other technical documents as required  
  • Provides mentorships, guidance, and training to new or existing personnel 
  • Serves as SME for quality control processes  
  • Adheres to safety regulations and OSHA procedures 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Skill Sets: 

  • Analytical expertise associated with HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV and KF titrators 
  • Advanced working experience in out-of-specification (OOS) investigations utilizing root cause analysis tools 
  • Advanced problem-solving ability/mentality, technical adeptness, and logical thinking 
  • Must be able to work independently with limited direct supervision 
  • Ability to handle hazardous materials using all appropriate or mandatory safety PPE and safety equipment 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Must be computer literate, working knowledge of the basic hardware, software, internet including word and excel 
  • Must be able to maintain a safe workin
