As an Engineering Project Leader for Motors New Product Development, you will oversee and drive the entire lifecycle of product development projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, marketing, and sales, to ensure the successful launch of innovative electric motor products. In collaboration with Marketing, you will also communicate and collaborate with key customers and stakeholders to implement requirements and changes. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, extensive project management experience, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage new product development projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress against key milestones.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives and ensure seamless execution.

• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.

• Ensure all products meet design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams and with stakeholders.

• Lead project meetings, provide updates, and report key project metrics to senior management.

• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

• Interact with key customers and manage customer requirements, including timing, specifications, and expectations for new projects on existing and new platforms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering project management, with a focus on new product development and manufacturing.

• Proven track record of leading successful engineering projects from concept to production.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and production planning.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in project management software and tools.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Experience in verification and validation of manufacturing processes.

• Skilled problem solver focused on achieving desired results.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments.

• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
