Position Summary

We are actively seeking people who want to break into Delivery and Scrum Management working with a modern, active software platform as part of the Application Support Team. Delivery Managers are responsible for planning and managing the overall delivery roadmap for multiple initiatives. They will work with cross-functional teams and development squads to help build and reinforce the Agile mindset and to embed Agile principles in day-to-day work. We are looking for candidates who can join us and learn this role while working with the Application Support team. This candidate will take on a number of responsibilities and learn technical & engineering practices with the intent of moving into the delivery management organization.

Essential Duties

  • Learning – Taking the time to learn how Datasite operates, while gaining experience in the roles of App Support, Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, etc.
  • Squad Operation – Work with squads to drive solutions for our customers and interface with squads on behalf of our internal stakeholders to prioritize issues.
  • Drive Internal Tools and Projects – Take lead to ensure internal projects and priorities are accomplished, while tracking engineering progress and milestones.
  • Reporting – Track key squad discovery and delivery metrics, understanding, and reporting on current state and progress of work, what is done and not, etc. Clear reporting and communication is key for this role, not only to the Leadership Team but also to the various Product Managers and Business Leads.
  • Agile Coaching - Reinforce proven tools, techniques, practices, and coaching methods through discovery and delivery stages, as well as through continuous improvement in the product development pipeline. Establish and enforce Agile delivery standards and best practices. Mentor and train Agile delivery team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field

Experience

  • Understand fundamentals of software and product development
  • Understand Agile and Lean practices
  • 1-3 years experience with Project or Program Management (internship, school projects, etc will be considered)
  • Highly organized and a strong communicator who can effectively multitask and prioritize as needs evolve
  • Able to learn quickly and work proactively
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members
  • Able to communicate effectively between a variety of technical and non-technical stake holders to interpret business needs 
  • Able to prioritize the most important or highest value tasks.
  • Able to use data to inform planning and managing complex internal and external dependencies.
  • Experience working in an agile product development environment is preferred
