Description

Baskervill is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design firm with offices throughout the country and in Gdansk, Poland. Our Richmond office is currently looking for a detail-oriented Project Controller to join our growing firm. Project Controllers are integral to the project life cycle, engaging early in support of proposal scope, fee, and staffing development through design, documentation, and into closeout. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the A/E/C industry, including consultant disciplines, architectural and construction processes, and substantial experience in Project Management. What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and control projects under the supervision of studio Principals,
  • Distribute RFPs for obtaining bids from outside consultants by clearly communicating the requirements and expectations of each specific project,
  • Develop project schedules by identifying all required deliverables and organizing them in a logical sequence with estimated start and end dates while considering resource availability and project constraints,
  • Work closely with Studio Directors to manage and balance the Studio’s workload to confirm projects are assigned effectively; Lead weekly coordination meetings with Studio Directors,
  • Assist in tracking pursuits in play and new project work to determine the appropriate staffing assignment,
  • Provide ongoing collaboration and support studio Principals by providing necessary updates or information and addressing any concerns or challenges that may arise,
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Team to generate Marketing Proposals by establishing project scope, timeline, and any specific needs or constraints.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Architectural, Interior Design, Engineering Degree or equivalent previous experience working in an administrative, accounting or project support capacity within AEC industry,
  • 5+ years relevant industry experience,
  • Substantial experience in Project Management,
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 applications; Deltek Vantagepoint and Newforma preferred,
  • Experience writing Architectural, Interior Design, Engineering or General Construction contract agreements is required.
