The Role:

We are actively seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Technical Project Manager with a deep understanding of financial services and regulations to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for orchestrating the successful delivery of projects, maintaining a high level of quality throughout the development lifecycle, and ensuring alignment with business priorities.

 

What You'll Do:

• Define Scope & Vision:
• Take ownership of technical projects by defining their scope and vision in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Guide the team in defining sprint goals aligned with technical project objectives.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of the technical project end-to-end and contribute to strategy implementation.
• Requirements Gathering & Management:
• Break down technical project requirements into consumable tasks.
• Write user stories and define acceptance criteria for strategy implementation.
• Own requirement documentation and process flow diagrams, specifically focusing on technical aspects.
• Prioritization and Backlog Management:
• Prioritize technical project features and tasks based on business priorities, impact, and customer value.
• Maintain a healthy technical project backlog, keeping it up-to-date and reflective of changing priorities.
• Meetings and Communication:
• Facilitate technical project meetings, including refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure a clear understanding of technical project requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Foster collaboration between development teams, QA, and other stakeholders with a technical focus.
• Responsible for timeline estimation and team organization to ensure effective project management and clear communication across all technical initiatives.
• Release Management:
• Own technical project releases in Jira and Airtable, defining the strategic timing of releases.
• Manage stakeholder approval of technical project requirements, including data contracts and releases.
• Assist the development team in ensuring technical requirements are met prior to release.
• Technical Project Management:
• Apply advanced project management techniques specific to technical projects.
• Monitor and control technical project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and technical standards.
• Identify areas for technological enhancement and innovate in technical project management methodologies.
• Strategize the critical path in planning agile workflows for the team, focusing on optimizing process efficiency and delivery timelines.
• Project Tracking and Reporting:
• Define, track, and own technical project milestones throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide regular updates on technical project progress.
• Manage daily/weekly deliverables, risks, and escalations with a technical perspective.
• Training and Operational Readiness:
• Support onboarding new team members to relevant technical projects.
• Plan and allocate team members to technical projects as needed.

 

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT or related field
• 10+ years experience
• 5+ years experience in Financial Services industry preferred
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Obtained or working towards Scrum certification.
• Strong communication skills to convey issues/bugs and their impact to stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and quality orientation.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
