Outpatient Diagnostic Center is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to join an energetic, patient-focused team! Come and join our team as a Technologist Assistant - MRI for a Full-Time position at our outpatient imaging center located in Madison, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm


JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Clinical Manager and/or the MRI Technologist, the Technologist Assistant is responsible for supporting the MRI staff and providing the first clinical point of contact for patients. Facilitates the patient flow to minimize patient wait times and maximize the utilization of resources. Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements. Demonstrates competence with all imaging safety compliance initiatives. Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.

Requirements

 REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • CMA, EMT or LPN or Phlebotomist.

LICENSE/CERTIFICTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
  • CMA (Certified Medical Assistant/Certified Medication Aide), LPN, EMT, &/or Phlebotomist. Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.
  • Earn as you learn opportunity: Pulse Radiology MRI Tech Aide certification can be obtained within 60 days of employment.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioner.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask. 
  • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
  • Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Travel to and from other center locations may be required for business purposes. 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors, and the general public.
  • Ability to recognize and define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and correct errors.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of forms and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
  • Knowledge of computer applications.
