Description

JOB SCOPE: Responsible for supporting the Director of Quality Improvement in overseeing the Quality Improvement program for all clinical and residential services at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. Assist in coordinating departmental activities, including utilization reviews, incident reporting, clinical documentation monitoring, program audits, certification, and licensing for clinical, rehabilitation, and residential programs.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

•     Collaborate with the Director to provide leadership and guidance on areas of quality improvement and compliance.

•     Support the oversight of utilization review activities across all agency programs.

•     Assist in monitoring and enhancing processes for case reviews to improve quality care agency wide.

•     Co-Chairs Agency Wide Incident Review Committee and participates in the reviews and submission of required reports on incidents to all regulatory agencies.

•     Contribute to monitoring licensing and regulatory requirements, staying updated on updates and educating staff accordingly.

•     Assist in coordinating program audits, serving as a liaison to external auditors, and ensuring compliance with audit procedures.

•     Collaborate on the development and implementation of program evaluation studies and Consumer Satisfaction surveys.

•     Conducts Special Investigation into allegations of staff abuse and neglect, or otherwise directed by Director of Quality Improvement.

•     Assist in the development of operational manuals and policy and procedure revisions.

  • Monitors all incidents to track and trend opportunities for improvements across agency programs.

•     Support the coordination of required HIPAA training for all agency staff.

•     Contribute to identifying strategic directions for improvements and participating in related special projects

•     Support agency-wide staff training in Quality Improvement/Management.

•     Represents PCMH at local, statewide, and national conferences/meetings.

•     Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Quality Improvement.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•     Licensure LMHC, LMSW, LCSW

•     Minimum six (6) years demonstrated progressively responsible assignments in clinical and management positions in a mental health/rehabilitation setting, with at least three (3) years in a senior management role.

•     Knowledge of HIPAA, NYS OMH, and DOHMH regulations and/or standards, including applicable Standards of Care, is desirable.
