DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
Oversee the Quantum West facility and manage all aspects of Quantum West Production ensuring internal and external customer expectations are met or exceeded
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
•Oversee the Quantum West facility and work closely with Corporate Senior Leadership to make all facility-related decisions including but not limited to site location, layout, and activities
•Manage all facility and equipment related issues, including but not exclusive to inspections, repairs, calibration, installation, and coordination with third-party vendors for related services for the Quantum West facility
•Manage and coordinate the daily functions of the Quantum West Production team
•Manage the daily schedule, order flow and production processes to optimize departmental efficiency and output
•Evaluate, recommend and implement changes to materials, equipment, tooling, products and processes
•Ensure that all team members are following proper work instructions and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements
•Establish and maintain cross training to optimize departmental flexibility
•Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for production, safety, quality, and delivery, and utilize data to adjust process controls and develop continuous improvement projects
•Collaborate with the Manager, Pride West Distribution to ensure proper workflow between Production and the Distribution Center to achieve satisfactory inventory levels and cycle counts
•Collaborate with the Environmental Health & Safety Manager to maximize the performance of the Facility Maintenance Technician
•Collaborate with the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering & Special Projects to maximize the performance of the Manufacturing Engineer which includes, but is not limited to ensuring:
•All matrix stations and related equipment is accurately functioning
•Process Validations are complete, when necessary, with Regulatory Team approval before any new processes are executed
•Conduct regular department meetings to communicate business information, safety expectations and department performance.
•Work closely with the Director of Manufacturing to coordinate the activities and interactions between Quantum West Production and all internal departments to meet business needs
•Coordinate with People 1st (Human Resources) for appropriate staffing levels and conduct interviews for hiring new staff
•Mentor others in Lean Principles and Visual Factory Skills (5S, Visual controls)
•Ensure the accuracy and timely movement of parts from the Distribution Center to Production inventory locations
•Manage Production parts inventory for year-end inventory accuracy
•Use hand and standard power tools to assemble power wheelchairs as needed
•Oversee and properly maintain all required administrative records and documents for Area of Responsibility (AOR) and facility
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
•Ensure all personnel are current to any new and updated procedures in the Learning Management System (Litmos)
•Maintain compliance with Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), and Pride policies and procedures
•Ensure compliance and advocate for Pride Mobility Products/Quantum Rehab Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action placement and utilization goals and hiring benchmarks through non-discriminatory employment practices across your Area of Responsibility (AOR)
•Staff management including documenting and communicating objectives, positively impacting employee morale, motivating team members, conducting performance appraisals, and appropriately addressing individual or group performance issues
•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
•Complete the Annual C-TPAT Security Training
•Assign, train, and develop staff based on experience and departmental goals
•Develop goals and objectives, and measure outcomes to ensure goals are met
•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
•Develop a "Strong 2nd" for your area of responsibility
•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
